Inauguration of the signpost to Dolyna, our twin city in Ukraine
A highlight of this Christmas Market weekend was undoubtedly the inauguration of the signpost for Dolyna, our twin city in Ukraine. This new sign, prominently displayed, symbolizes our ongoing commitment and unwavering solidarity. The event brought together elected officials, citizens, and of course, our valued visitors from the twin cities.
As every year, this year’s Christmas Market will be remembered for the warm reunions between visitors from our twin cities and their host families, strengthening the personal bonds and family spirit that characterize these exchanges.
The stalls dedicated to the twin cities once again delighted Christmas Market visitors. From gingerbread and traditional cakes to other treats, everyone had the opportunity to discover or rediscover delicious specialties. These stalls are a true crossroads of cultures and a special place to exchange ideas and celebrate Europe in miniature.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. Under a light rain on Sunday, December 7th, the weekend concluded with farewells and promises to meet again soon to keep these wonderful friendships alive.
